The End Of Guspace Forums

It is with great displeasure and a heavy heart (i have a condidition) that i announce the terrible news you see in the title. It's true, the Guspace forums will be coming to an end. Sadly, there's nothing to be done about this as this is a decision as it's coming from the sites mother company Wix directly.

Until then, enjoying the forums is one of our main priorities now. For some reason, Wix always seems to do this with their site apps and features. I actually have no clue why they remove the only apps that make people use Wix in the first place. Apps that have worked fine for years and years. If it ain't broke, don't fix it. I reckon that saying still applies in this situation.
At some point before October 15th 2025, Guspace forums will be converted into these groups. If i'm not mistaken, this is the groups feature that is already in affect here on Guspace that is severely underused by all users. When the forums do close down, i'm unsure if the members page with the follower counts will go with it. I'm worried because the user profiles are so heavily based around the users activity on the forums. I'm going on record and saying i'm way against this and think it's a stupid idea.
I apologise to all the users of Guspace that have invested so many hours over many months posting to the forums. Hopefully the work of every site member here can be preserved with the switch to Wix Groups. If not, i highly recommend archiving the forums and the entire website now and leading up to October 15th as much as you can.
It's already been done by a few users who have got it archived on the Internet Archive (thewaybackmachine) and via screenshots.

I honestly think it’s just someone’s way of shutting down free speech mate. Not only that, but shutting down the forums is killing off traces of the old internet. Like they don’t want small forums to be a thing anymore, so you get forced into using larger forums and social media apps to do the same thing… only with 0 democracy.
Being a friend of Gus Fck Schulz’s too, i’ve seen this site build up from literally nothing. It still is arguably pretty much nothing, but it’s still come so far and had so much…
